Welcome to Fleetwood Festive Lights Fund

FLEETWOOD, Lancs, 04 December, 2008

Fleetwood Town Football Club Manager Micky Mellon joined the Lord Street festivities on Thursday evening when he switched on the Fleetwood Festive Lights. Mayor of Wyre, Councillor Gordan McCann joined Micky on the podium and said "In partnership with Wyre, Malcolm Ratcliffe, the chairman of Fleetwood Festive Lights, has done a very good job. The place really looks festive. It will do some good for the commercial premises and will lift the spirit of the town."

Taking time out before Thursday evening training, the manager said "“I was delighted when asked to switch on the lights. It’s an honour and shows the depth of feeling the port has for the football club. The festive lights look fabulous and they make Lord Street look special."
